Description
Great White Egret in black and white taken at Sandy Ridge Reservation in Ohio. These are large birds with impressive wingspans, its size is just a bit smaller than the Great Blue Heron. They hunt by staying quietly still, wading through the water, then jabbing the fish with their yellow bill. A very elegant bird to photograph.
